Hey everyone so I just got the last two bunnies a boy and a girl to make 2 boys and 1 Girl currently everyone is in separate cages. no one is fixed YET only one is barely old enough and just recently so. he’s the first one going to be fixed, just want to wait until he’s 6 months. so today I noticed that the older of my 2 bucks is pooping around my Does cage and pretty frequently around his cage when before he was completely potty-trained. I feel like it has something to do with him trying to show his affection for her or because he can smell the other boy to mark his territory or something?!? Can anybody tell me what the heck’s going on around here? LOL!

I’d be willing to bet that this is about marking territory and probably also about claiming the girl for himself. Bunnies are very territorial and they use poop to mark territory. You might soon be seeing pee-spraying too, which is more of a problem since buns can pee high up the walls. They also spray their object of desire as part of their courtship-ritual. Pee spraying as a rule stops when you get the bun neutered. Poop marking can still happen.
