        Hi everyone,

Please help me. My bunny seems like she does not like me anymore. She 4 months old. She used to run around my feet and follow me to the door whenever I leave the room. Now she just hops around and doesn’t hop on me and lick my nose or follow me around anymore, She also runs away from me when I approach her. and she doesn’t lick my hand anymore.

        Please help me.

I think your bunny girl has started puberty. The “symptoms” are exactly right. It can happen literally over night: A cuddly happy baby one day, an aloof, easily spooked, often really grumpy teenager the next.

This is perfectly normal, and it will get better with time, although she’ll of course never be a baby again.

It is recommended that you spay girl rabbits, they have a high risk of uterine cancer at age 3-4. Spaying also helps with temper and territoriality and other sexually motivated behaviors. It can be done at around 6 months, unless she’s really tiny, then you’d have to wait a little longer.

I agree with Bam, puberty has hit and the hormones are likely causing behavioural changes. She may mellow out again as she finishes maturing, and she may not. Spaying may help with the aloof behaviour and it may not. Spaying is still recommended though as Bam suggested due to uterine cancer.
