        Hi everyone,
New to the site but my bun peanut has been strange. I was trimming his nails and after I was done he went on the couch and lied down which is odd he has never done that before and I’ve had him for a few years. He seemed to have an elevated respiratory rate l and usually if you touch him on certain areas he runs away but he seemed to just tolerate it. I was a little nervous and figured I would see if anyone here had any ideas. I do plan on calling the vet in the morning.

So I guess a usually active bun seems lazy and unmotivated

Is he eating? I mean like will he eat a treat if you give him one? Try that, because a sick bun won’t eat a treat, and that requires action on your part.

Elevated respiratory rate generally means stress. Could you have hurt him in any way during the nail-trimming?

Lazy and unmotivated and breathing fast in a usually active bun can mean pain, extreme fear, GI problems.
