I have one female and one male rabbit. I’m trying to get them to come out of the hutch they are each in but I can’t get them to come out. My dad built the hutches and because of the way he built them, I can’t reach in to get them out and I also don’t want to grab them and scare them. It’s been a long time since they’ve been out and I want them to get some exercise in the new run area I have for them. I’ve tried treats but they’re not interested enough. I’ve tried leaving the doors open for them to hop out or walk down a ramp. They’re not interested at all and don’t appreciate me coaxing. Anyone have any advice?

It could just be that they are wary of the new run area. Bunnies tend to be very wary of new places. Most often their natural curiousity gets the better of them and they start to explore, but it can be a week or even longer, esp if they are used to being caged.

I agree. Leave a trail of treats (not too sugary — tiny pieces of greens they like would be good) and then leave them be for a while. (Also, is there any way they could live inside? That would be even better for them.)
