  Hello !! I am new here and would just like some help sexing my rabbit, she is about 6 months old and I think it is a girl but I am not sure:s I will be getting her desexed soon but I want to get her a friend and would like to sign up for a rabbit adoption sanctuary so need to know whether to apply for a boy or girl. I got some photos so I hope that helps thanks

  It’s difficult to tell from that photo. You will need to apply a little more pressure so the genitalia pops out a bit. Both male & female bits will protrude out of the genital mound.

  Since your rabbit is 6 months old, you would probably be seeing testicles if it was a male. They look like big pink kidney beans. I don’t see any testicles in the photo, but a personal look would be more telling.

  True tobyluv. It’s kind of hard to tell in that picture. I would think they would be visible (if present) if bunny wasn’t scrunched up.

  Thanks for the responses guys! I took some more photos im not sure they are good enough. Ive looked for testicles but all ive found are like little tiny balls down at the base of the genital area? I tried to get a photo, it is so hard to tell!!! Im hopefully going to a vet this week.

  Look like a girl to me. Also, the testicles usually sit just above the genital mound.The tricky thing with rabbits is they can pull them back up, so you’d have to try catch sight of them while they’re relaxed. FWIW though, I don’t think you’ll find any as I’m thinking it’s a girl bun.
