Hey, I’m trying to navigate the forum so please excuse if I’ve posted in the wrong spot 🙂

My little man Pete was sitting on the arm of the couch (sofa) when a guest walked past with a plastic bag and frightened him. He jumped off and landed a bit funny and now when he sits he kind of hovers his right front foot without putting pressure on it, he doesn’t normally do this unless standing on his back legs.
He lets me touch it and move it, so I’m hoping it’s just a little bruised. Any thoughts?
        Thank you
        Chloe and Pete. Xx

Hi! I moved your post to the Q & A section, the Lounge is our more light-weight section, and your post is of a more serious nature.

It’s great that you can touch and move it, but buns are really good at hiding pain since they”re prey animals. If he eats and drinks, doesn’t try to hide away, poops and pees, I think you can wait until tomorrow and see if he starts putting weight on the foot. Of course look for swelling, esp around the toes. It can be a sprain. If he has broken toe/s he might need a splinter, if it’s just a sprain and he exhibits signs of pain, a bunny pain-killer (metacam) could be good for him. You can call your vet and ask if they want to see him if he’s not quite a bit better tomorrow or if he gets worse or stops eating.

I hope he’ll soon be fine again.
