I need to get some kind of non messy litter. My baby buns have long fur that everything attaches to. I use to use pine shavings for their litter but they’re covered in it and it makes their cages extra messy. I can’t use paper bedding because they eat it, all of them have an obsession with eating paper ugh!

I found some pine litter that is kinda shaped like their food pellets. All they called it wad pine litter. It said natural pine, no added odor, and low dust. I think it was meant for cats though. Would this be a good alternative to the pine shavings?

        Thanks for any suggestions!

The wood pellets are fab – they clump together when wet and form a dense dust-like consistency. I find they control odour well also. The brand I use is also marketed for cats but the pine pellets without any harmful oils etc are perfectly safe for rabbits.

I use YN too. It’s great and very low mess. Doesn’t spread around as much as lighter litters and never sticks to Bindi’s long fur.

I wouldn’t want them to eat a lot of it. My buns love to eat paper too but they don’t eat the litter. It’s a very hard pellet so they probably won’t even realize it’s paper.
