Uhh so Fluffy got into a bit of ketchup… I don’t know how much as I was not there but my sister said it was only a bit. I’m just wondering if she will be ok, as I haven’t found any information about ketchup online? She does seem to be acting a bit strange and scared but I’ll keep an eye on her.

        Thanks

Ketchup has a lot of sugar in it, but tomatoes are bunny-safe so I don’t think you’ll have a problem. But it’s always good to keep an eye of course. I doubt ketchup would make her act strange. Maybe she’s picking up on your or your sister’s worry?

Ketchup probably isn’t dangerous. A lot of sugar, which isn’t good for bunnies. But not dangerous.

Okay thanks for the information guys. Bam- yeah she probably got scared because my sister yelled “OMGG… she’s eating ketchup!” Haha.

I’m just dittoing what the other forum leaders have posted. No reason to panic unless you see lethargy and no poos!
It sounds like it was minimal and all will be okay. Thank you for being an attentive human to your ketchup loving bunny.

Now the next question is, was it on a hamburger, on a hotdog, or (if you’re a good Canadian) on Kraft dinner?

But seriously, bunbun should be just fine.

I don’t think the sugar in ketchup would be a problem for a rabbit.  I’d think the more important question would be, is the vinegar in ketchup going to be a problem?   I have no idea about the vinegar question.

Buns have highly acidic stomachs anyways, so I imagine the tiny bit of vinegar in ketchup would be fine.
