My Olaf has been impeccable with his litter habits since I got him last October. I noticed, however, that when I had guests stay for the weekend he left droppings just outside his litter box and near his food. Not a lot, but certainly a change for him. After the guests were gone the droppings returned to his litter box.

I made sure to keep things as calm as possible while they were visiting and he was able to interact with everyone on his own terms, so I am hoping it was more from a territorial need than a stressful one. He seemed to rather enjoy having new friends to loaf around with and more pant legs to try and nibble on. :] Do any of your rabbits do this marking when you have guests? It isn’t a problem (droppings are an easy clean-up) but I was just curious if this was common.

Interesting! I’ve never experienced that. Mine play ‘unhandled wild scared rabbits’ with guests. Always have. Sounds like you have a social bunny-who may not be willing to allow guests to overstay their welcome

When one of the ladies drops by from the rescue and sits on the floor the bunnies poop ALL around her, lol. I think they believe she IS a bunny !

Your Olaf is so cute! My bunny usually wild and scared as Kokaneeandkahlua’ s one. But if she saw the same guests quite often she starts to be more prepossessed to them.

Hahaha! Thank you everyone for replying. Yes, I think you’re right. He’s very sociable and curious but was definitely not 100% when they first arrived. Had that I’m going to bolt look in his eye. But after some exploring he was all about the flops and climbing into laps (just don’t hold me!). :]

I think he thinks we’re bunnies, too. Grooms me and the guest marking seemed like he was claiming his place. Rabbits are so cool.
