We took in my neighbor’s rabbit about two months ago. He was neutered I think in the same week. He had a problem with spraying for the first few days and I was hoping being neutered would stop it. It hasn’t. Him and my other bun don’t get along AT ALL. I’ve taken them on one car ride this week, I’m going to do more soon.

Problem is that the new bun, Gizmo, still sprays and my old bun, Tilly, thinks that means he can pee outside his cage too. When I catch him, I stomp, clap, and shoo him away, but he’s not very good at listening. What’s the best way to deal with these two?

It might help to let them get to know eachother first. Tilly might not neccesarily be peeing outside the cage :because the other bunny does it:, but rather as a terretorial marking in response to havinga new bunny nearby. I’d just let thm live within sight and smell of each other (not closer than 6 inches), and let them do silent invisible buny communication for a month or two. Once Tilly’s litter habits go back to normal, that will be a good sign that he has accepted the presence of Gizmo. Then you can start bonding them.
