About a month ago my bunny has gotten into the habit of biting me when he wants attention. Sometimes he will nudge me but most of the time it will be a very slow I know it is coming because it isn’t a fast nip kind of chomp. Bunny bites hurt and I have tried making a loud noise or using a spray bottle as one website has suggested whenever he does bite me but that has not worked. It is just upsetting because I see how most bunns will just present to you when they want pets. My bun does not present to me at all and I feel like he just expects me to know when to pet him or he will bite me. Even when I have given him lots of petting sessions he will still come after me and bite me for more attention or a rousing game of chase the bunny (he likes playing tag because as soon as I get up he binkies away from me in a spurt of bunny 500s) What can I do to get him to stop?

Rookie does that sometimes too. But for me it’s more of a surprise than pain. It’s interesting cause Rookie really only does love bites and never for attention. He passes by me gives me a nibble and on he goes….he does it too when he doesn’t want to be touched. So that’s interesting that yours does it for attention.
I’m interested to see what the more experienced owners say here for that. Sorry I’m not much help but I’m new too

My bunny Bam bites for attention, mostly my mother when she visits.
My bunny Yohio did that too, he also claws on my feet. I got used to sitting at my desk with my feet up. It seems to have worked, now I can have my feet down.
Rabbits often use their mouths for communication-purposes.

If I’m sitting at my laptop and BB wants attention he will run under my legs and nip them on his way by. He stopped when I brought home Josephine but has recently began again. She will come to the kitchen for ” early greens ” while I am making the bowl and dig at my feet and bite my socks until she receives some. Not sure where she learned that habit from.

Mine don’t bite painfully enough to worry about.

my bunny brat bites me hard enough to peel my skin. It’s interesting because he used to do the same thing when I introduced him to a potential partner (not breeding just friend. he is fixed). I think he’s just a weirdo and doesn’t know how to socialize very well. I just wish I could spend more time with him without having him bite me -.-
