        Hi

I am a new bunny owner so I can’t tell between bitting and nipping.

When I am on the bed he jumps up and bites my feet or is he just nipping? It does hurt, but then I tell him to stop and he stops. Then I go and pet him/try to play with him. For two consecutive evenings he has been doing this.

What is he trying to tell me? I have toys for him, food, water, hay, ect.

Is it ok to have him hop to the bed? He does not use the bed as his potty; he uses his litterbox. So I have let him do so, but is that something I should encourage?

What about blankets? What kinds do you guys use? He ripped one already.

        Thank you guys

Side question: Does anyone know how I can upload pictures here through my tablet?

You may have to change the settings in you camera on the tablet as the pics can only be 500kb. I had to change it on my cell. Also you need to send it to your google drive. Then upload from there. As for nipping and bitting I am not sure as my bun does not do either of these to me. However, I am sure he maybe just wanting attention. Is he neutered? I don’et my bun on the bed as he sprays everything. That would be judgment call. If you squeal ehen he nips it will let him know he has hurt you. Good luck with the bun.

To me nipping is when you don’t need to extricate said bunny from your flesh

Mine nip quite regularly. Are your feet in the bunnies way ?

That is a common reason for them to tell you to get out of the way. Perhaps when you said stop he knew he had your attention, which may have been his goal.

I actually need to research a new blanket for mine. I imagine natural fibers would be healthy.

I wish I could have my bun sleep all night in bed with. However, the spraying is no no. Besides I think we are both still trying to recover from the tangled mess when he got caught up in my hair.

What worked for me is to let the bunny know that he was hurting me.
Now he nips really soft. Mine did it if he wanted attention, now he licks instead or just pushes his head towards any of my body parts haha if he gets no response then he will consider a little nip to let me know i need to step my game up as a bunny owner and spoil him with love/pets/food, basically anything the little fella adores.

I think that Bunluv gave the perfect example of nipping vs biting.

                  Thanks guys.
                  Yes my bunny is neutered.
I will try the mothods mentioned by you guys; I think he wanted my feet off his bed area.
He does not poop in the bed or pee so we can share. He sleeps part of the night on the bed the other frew hours on the floor in his matt.

Thanks again. I will try to load pictures of him so you guys could see him

You can get fleece blanket for your bunny. Mine loves it and won’t attempt to bite it

I allow my bunny to jump up to the bed with me all the time and I don’t think it’s a problem as long as he does his business in his potty. My room floor is parquet wood and it is too slippery for my bunny so I just let her run around on the bed rather than have her slidding endlessly and maybe injuring herself. L
