Currently, Bobbi is living in an area sectioned of with nic grids. She isn’t really a jumper, so that has been enough. I have considered getting another rabbit, but she is half blind and has always been picked on by other rabbits and was bullyed in her foster home. So until I find a bun that will get along with her, she is a single bun.
Anyways, I am going to renovate her cage. She has a condo, but I’d like to replace the nic grid section with three xpens all connected in a large circle. She lives in a heated, carpeted, sealed garage. There are no cars, and she has the entire area to herself and her stuff. The garage is connected to the house at the front, so I have easy access to her. Is there a way to put a second level on an xpen? They are 42 inches high, so there is plenty of room for one. She is a 4.5 lb lop, so I need something for a base that will support her weight. There are industrial rubber puzzle piece mats that have very thick fleece on top for a nice comfy flooring. She isn’t completely blind so she would be able to get up to the second floor, because she is only blind in one eye, but has bad sight in the other. I also want to put fairy lights around the top of they xpen, where she can’t reach them. I think it would look cute. She also has an extra large dog kennel that connects to the xpens, so it will be even larger. Of course she would have time to run around the entire triple garage every day as well. But I would still like her to have a large area, so she can run while I’m at school. I want to buy those plastic tower drawer storage things and put them on the top of the kennel, leaning against the wall for all her stuff, extra dishes, leashes, harnesses, extra toys, hay and pellets in an airtight container in the drawer. Any other ideas for her enclosure? Oh, also I have a small area section off for my hang out in the garage, tv, bookshelf, beanbag chair, mini fridge, ect. But its not a massive area, maybe 1/5 of the garage? She still has a huge area to play in though, just don’t want her chewing the beanbag chair. Or all the power cords. but do you have ideas or suggestions for her area?
