I’m moving into an apartment soon and am trying to find a good place to build my rabbit’s area. there is a spot along one side of the living room, but it’d only be able to be 22″ wide to prevent blocking the door. In total, the cage would be 22″ wide and 13.5 ft long. would he be happy in there with a possible second rabbit despite it’s width?

Are you planning on letting them out at all for exercise? I would think that would still be enough space if it is 13 ft long. 25 sq feet is the minimum amount of space for one bun if they don’t come out for exercise. So ideally you would want to double that if you couldn’t have them outside the cage for play time. Others might have different opinions though… AL’s cage is 4×10 and he isn’t able to get out much. With it being so large he is able to run and binky and zoom inside.

I think it should be fine – he ought to be able to turn himself around absolutely fine and can run up and down the cage should be choose.

As the above poster said, I think he ought to still come out for supervised play time but I think he’d be absolutely fine in that for extended periods (overnight, working hours).
