I am pretty sure we used Aspen pellets when we had our last rabbit but I truly can’t remember. We bought some ferret litter for Pumpkin (compressed paper, basically). What have you guys found to work best. This ferret stuff is great b/c its super absorbent and doesn’t smell at all (I remember the Aspen having a smell to it. Do you think its safe to stick with the ferret stuff?

If it’s just compressed paper, such as Yesterday’s News, then yep! That kind of litter is safe and highly recommended. If it’s safe for ferrets, it’s probably safe for rabbits, too. It’s actually probably better than aspen shavings, too, because compressed paper is easier on the digestive system if ingested.

I’m currently using Kaytee Clean & Fresh and quite like it – it’s shredded paper.
