I just got my little Pippin about six weeks ago, she was won at a state fair by my family and has been my favorite sweet little baby pet ever. However I am unsure of her age (possibly 10-12 weeks) or her breed (possibly a mini or dwarf mix) and have not had a rabbit before. I’ve been super cautious, caring, and even took her to a bunny vet for a check up a few weeks ago, which she was completely healthy. She has been doing very very well up until today she is pooing and quite a bit and its mushy, however she is not larthargic by any means, she is running around with a binkky here and there as we speak and playing with my curtains. She’s drinking well and eating fine which led me to think maybe I gave her too much red leaf lettuce?

What are you feeding her? Kind of pellets, hay, and veggies?

Does the poop look a blackberry or a tiny bunch of grapes, or does it look like a smooth blob? Is it runny? If it looks like a blackberry or like littles grapes, its normal cecals that your bunny would normally eat. If it’s cecals, she may be overproducing them due to a rich diet. If it looks like a blob or is runny, and smells awful, it could be coccidia.

When you took her for her checkup, did the vet check her poop for coccidia? It’s not uncommon in young bunnies but can be deadly if its not treated. Both of my lops had coccidia at that age and were treated with no problem but it does require a vet visit.
