The easiest way to clip a rabbits nails is to sit on the floor with your legs straight out and place the rabbit on its back on your legs. When you put a rabbit on their legs they seem to go into a trance and the rabbit will be calm and wont move around while you clip their nails.

          Hello and welcome Star-Crossed Buns!

It’s true that this method of clipping nails is often popularized, but actually the “trance state” that rabbits experience when on their backs is a state of intense panic and fear, and it’s actually quite stressful for them, so it’s not a recommended thing to do, unless there is absolutely no other way to trim their nails. Other methods that allow the rabbit to remain on their feet and unstressed are better.
