Hey everyone I’ve been coming to this site for years, only now have I just made an account as my bunny Peanut is giving me some concern. Peanut is a male indoor non neutered bun, and over the past month or so my wife and I have noticed he is drinking significantly more water and peeing a lot more then normal for him. Peanut is about a year and a half old now, we have taken him to the vet etc for routine checkups and nothing has shown up weird, however we use a bowl for water and normally we were filling it once in the morning and once at night it is now having to be filled every couple hours. He drinks enough that his pee is actually clear.

His mood is the same as normal he is just as happy and still binky’s. We haven’t done much to his diet however he is on a pellet less diet now, he does get veggies usually every other day and has an unlimited supply of Timothy hay.

Before I take him to the vet I just wanted to make sure and see if anyone else has run into this issue with their buns.

Side note he isn’t litter trained fully as he generally uses half the cage to pee in.

If anyone can help please let me know!

        Concerned parent.

        Thanks,

Considering he is pretty young, UTI should be at the top of the list for possibilities. The only way to know for sure would be to take him to the vet and have them check.

If he’s on a pelletless diet, he should be getting daily salads (ideally 2x per day) made up of @ 10 different greens and herbs to make up for the nutrients normally provided by pellets. Is there a health reason for only giving him hay to eat except for his every other day salad?
