Hope this is an appropriate use of this forum.

I came across this article today…

        http://dcist.com/2014/03/look_at_all_these_adoptable_rabbits.php

..and I so wish I could help but 2 is my limit.

Here’s a link to the actual shelter in case anyone from the area is interested:

(The link to search available pets is at the bottom of the page.)

If I didn’t already have three, I’d be all over this.

Umm…it looks like they are all gone. No idea where, though.

Well the price was right for fast moving. Hopefully they went to homes that are prepared to care for them properly.

Though I don’t know the circumstances, I feel sad for the home owner. He lost not only his home but had to surrender the pets. I’m choosing to believe (maybe naively) they were loved pets.

Perhaps he found a new residence and was able to get some of them back?

I did go to the animal shelter’s website to take a look and they had a video up of the rabbits in this huge glass room enclosure. They all seemed clean and happy, and I’m assuming all of them were in there free-roam in this area, because there were like 15-20 visibly running around with several litterboxes available. So yea, they did seem well-cared for. It is definitely sad to be forced to surrender pets due to circumstances out of your control.
