Well I’m posting for a friend… She is in Korea (has been there for 10 months and will be there another 12) and she impulsively bought a little bunny from someone who was selling them on the street. She named him Bop, which means rice in Korea. He’s awfully cute huh? And Alyssa will do right by him, she’s never had a bunny before though so she keeps turning to me.

She is having some issues with potty training and I have referred her to some of the links on binkybunny but her biggest problem is Bop seems to be targeting her bed…I got this email this morning.

“So I had a friend over tonight and we were just sitting on the bed watching a movie. Bop jumps up I pet her a bit then she wonders all around, and all of a sudden goes behind me, and pees, on my bed, practically on me. What is that?”

Anybody have any ideas for her?

Foo does that too, well, she tries to but we attempt to get her off the bed. I’ve read and heard that bunnies just like peeing on and in soft places and things. When our bun does this, we pick her off the bed and tell her “No pee on the bed!” (not that she understands us) and move her to her litter box and tell her “Good Foo, Good Bunny.” Don’t know if it worked or not, but the past few times she’s been on the bed, she hasn’t peed.

I agree, Bop is incredibly cute. Yup, bunnies do like peeing on soft things. I would keep Bop off the bed for now. He looks quite young, does she know how old he is? Neutering would probably help as well. Not sure if there are many rabbit vets in Korea.

My bun does this. She is currently not spayed. I noticed she first started doing this to stake out what is hers. My bun can possessive and will pee on blankets that have our cats scent on it and will pee on it to say that it’s now hers. I agree with LittlePuffyTail. Getting the bun neutered should help. I hope your friend can find a vet in Korea.
