        Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on BinkyBunny could help me. I have an 8 year old dwarf girl rabbit, Thumper, and she lived in my house her whole life. Now she isn’t spayed, but she is an only bunny-so I really don’t have to. This week I am getting another dwarf bunny she is a girl and is 4 months old. She isn’t spayed either. Now here is the question: Do I need to spay them, and will they be all right after words? Thank you and have a great summer.

I think it would be wise to get both of them spayed for their health.

You will want to get a rabbit experienced vet and you definitely need to have bloodwork done on Thumper prior to the spay.

However spaying is not guarantee that they will bond…so be prepared for that.

Yes I would reccomend getting them both spayed. Depending on the vet you may have to wait another month or so to get the 4 month spayed. Most vets do it between 3-5 months ish. Getting them spayed can also help them not get cancer.
