I went to a local farmer’s market, but got there late, so all I bought was some regular kale and dino kale, as well as a head of red lettuce. All organic! Then at Costco I got romaine in bulk. Like 6 heads for less than $5. Then I was like, hey, she needs some cilantro. So I went and got her some at Save Mart, and dandilions looked good this week so I got some of those. I forgot how much I still had from last week…

So that now leaves me with: regular and dino kale, red and romaine lettuce (in absurd bulk!, plus leftovers from last week), cilantro, dandilions, wheat grass, carrots, and parsley. Plus my roomie has been letting me use some of her baby spinach leaves because she bought more than she could use.

I normally try to keep all my veggies (save the wheat grass) in one drawer in the fridge because I don’t want to take up a lot of space, plus Nova can only eat so much. I will probably just skip pellets this week… They are more of a treat at this point anyways.

What veggies are in your fridge this week?

Romaine, broccoli, carrots and celery Atm… haven’t been to the store that has a wider selection yet this week. Usually keep kale, cilantro, parsley and whatever other herbs look good as well.

We bought about 6-7 heads of romaine and leaf lettuce, plus 5 bunches of parsley. We’re going out of town on Saturday and wanted to buy enough so that I didn’t have to run out and buy more for the pet sitter. Hopefully it lasts! Usually we go through 5 heads of lettuce and 4-5 bunches of parsley a week.
