This is FuFu, one of our special needs bunnies.  I made a video of her over the weekend.

What a lovely girl … and I just love her name.

Does she have a specific problem with her special needs?

She had a terrible infection as a baby, and lost an eye brcause of it.  Other than that, she is fine.

Miss Fu Fu looks EXACTLY like my Gracie! Exactly meaning, including the coloring, the shape of her face and body AND Grace does not have an eye on the same side. Have you noticed Miss FuFu crashing into the sides of the cage at all? Grace does not do it often, but sometimes when she tries to run away to show she dissaproves of something, she does a head flisck to fast and crashes into the side of the cage. For that reason, I can’t decide if its safe to give her a tunnel and some of the other things my other bunnies have, what do you think?

FuFu is at another foster site, so I do not know too much about her.  I know that her foster mom has told me that she refuses to come out of her pen for play time, she is much more comfortable "at home".  My little Deanna is also missing an eye, and I have never noticed her crashing into things.  She is very hesitant to come out of the pen for playtime, though.  I have tunnels and she seems fine with them.

I have been lucky enough to get to know her pretty well, since I pet sit for her foster mom. I LOVE this bun and if I didn’t already have a diva bunny would seriously consider adopting her.
First off, although her name is technically Miss Fufu, she is usually called Miss Fu, but really prefers to be known as The Dread Pirate Fu. She also asked my husband for an eyepatch to go with her pirate image.

She’s a VERY sweet bunny, but the biggest lesson I’ve learned is you MUST approach her on the side she can see. If you approach her on the other side, she will bite you HARD. As long as she can see you, she’s as sweet as can be and enjoys attention and pets. She also loooooves hay
and is kinda particular about how she likes her house set up, but is meticulous about using her box. She thrives in a consistent envirionment and has been living with her foster mom about a year now I think. I have never seen her crash into anything, but like Osprey mentioned she is happiest in her home zone.

Grace prefers her house too. If we ever switch things around she has to go through a very specific hopping routine. She hops forward one step, then back, then forward then back, until she establishes that one step in her heard. Then she goes forward TWO steps, then back two, then forward two….then three…until she’s got the whoe cage memorized. She is the same way in the sense that if approached from one side she bites very hard, except for some reason it is the side where she has an eye, but it is blind. She is much better with the side that has no eye at all. My BF has THREE scars on his hand from her (I told him its his own fault for not learning after the first….) Anyways, I’m thinking of wrapping some NIC cubes in sheets to make her a safe bunny tunnel. Maybe I need to get her a bunny helmet as well!
