I posted 2 weeks about the one month old foster buns I took in (covered in some type of oil). They had fur-less feet and ears. Well, I am happy to report they are doing fantastic! The fur is almost completely covering their cute little bun feets. The fur is slowing coming in on their ears. This was taken today —

I also just took in a 3 day old Lionhead baby. Momma had 2 babies and killed one To keep the other safe, we seperated them and I will care for the baby. Please send good thoughts for a continued healthy, thriving baby!

One nice lady breeder I met said many a time she took to bed with her infant orphan bunnies on her chest to keep them as warm as they would be with the mother’s warmth!

                Lashkay~
Trust me, taking that baby bun to bed with me would be no problem, if it weren’t for my dogs. This poor bubby has a cut on her side (from mom) and on top of her head. I am just hoping against hope that I can work my magic on keeping her alive. Sooo hard with buns this young. I have successfully rehabbed 2 cottontails (got them at 7 days old) and they will be release tomorrow

Can you keep the dogs in a separate place while you give her your body-warmth? Sounds like if anybody can keep her alive, it’s you. Best of luck! And if you do manage to take her to your bed, sweetest of dreams! Snuggle-snuggle. Grow strong, baby! We’re pulling for you!! Congratulations on the rehabbed cottontails!

Glad to see that the older rabbits are doing well! Good luck with the little bitty baby! It can be so hard when they are so small.

Best of luck to you and those beautiful, darling babies! The older ones look so healthy and strong! It’s such an encouraging turn-around from what they looked liked when you got them. And, my, that tiny lion head! (((Vibes for her))) They are very lucky to have you.

We did that with a litter of kittens we rescued, once! I admittedly did not sleep much because I kept thinking “What if I roll over??!?”  but it worked! They were so tiny, two could nestle up under my chin and snooze there. And the one we kept still loved to do that, even though by then she was so big only her head fit under my chin

Anyroad, those three baby bunnies are beautiful! And I’m sending all my positive thoughts for the newbie bunny.  So tiny!
