I’d suggest doing a Google search. You may be able to get one, or at least a large fake sheepskin bed, at a pet store. Also, check out Walmarts and JoAnn Fabrics.

I used to be able to find them in the dog section (crates) at Petsmart when I went looking for them. I don’t see them on their website now though but I was able to find some in the store.

I did an online search for them a few weeks ago, and there were many sites selling them. The sites that I saw were selling medical supplies for people. The syn. sheepskin pads are used to prevent bedsores. I saw various sizes, such as 30″ x 30″ or 30″ x 60″. I was looking because we needed some at the sanctuary where I volunteer, for a handicapped rabbit. I didn’t buy any and I don’t remember the names of the websites because I found out that another volunteer had bought some. She said that she used to buy some for her own handicapped rabbit at local medical supply stores, but that the ones she found at an online medical supply store were a lot cheaper.

I picked mine up at Ikea in their pet section of all places Great price too!

But -that was impulse. The best place for faux sheepskin is a fabric store. And you don’t have to do anything to them like sewing, you could just buy a bunch and cut it into sizes you’d like. I’ve also covered pillows with it for the buns. It’s great because it washes and dries fabulous

Dumb question, but what is the significance of a sheep skin rug and rabbits? Do they like them?

                    No dumb questions

It is something they like and is insanely durable -but the real great thing is that they wick moisture away-so if you have a bunny who is incontinent it wicks the urine away and keeps them nice and dry. When I had an incontinent sick bunny, CHuck, I put pee pads under the faux sheepskin so that when it got wicked away it soaked into the pee pad keeping him warm and dry But it’s definitely a great material for any bunny blanky

Palace Pet Beds (usaknit) sell simple relatively inexpensive pieces that do the job. I lay it on a towel to absorb urine. I just take it outside and lay it upside down on a grate and rinse with the hose.
