Anyone have any that they watch?

I was at the vet last night picking up freshly neutered guinea pigs and Bravo was filming “Most Eligible:  Dallas” – I had never heard of this one so of course I went on-line and looked it up.  I had a pretty good idea of what it had to be about with that title.  It was interesting because there was a camera man and a bunch of people with wires and stuff trying to look important milling about.  The “stars” arrived while I was there and seriously, I was not impressed, they smelled like smoke – phew.  Also the male star made the dumbest comment about neutering his dog or not neutering his dog…some stupid macho comment which made me wonder is this the best that there is in Dallas for the most eligible bachelor…glad I’m married.

Anyway, I watch a few shows that I guess might be considered reality TV shows, like “What Not to Wear”, “Project Runway”, “America’s Next Top Moded”, “Iron Chef America”, and “Chopped”.   Also “Hoarders” and “Heavy” and “Kitchen Nightmares” – I guess I watch much more reality TV shows than I thought.  I’m not sure that these shows actually fall into the genre of reality TV but I’m thinking they do.

I would like to see this particular episode of “Most Eligible:  Dallas” if I can stomach it.

I can imagine the macho comments he might have made….lol

I love Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen. Dancing with the Stars is my favorite when they include plenty of ‘not so perfect’ people like Kirstie, Ralph, Hines, etc. If they have an entire cast of beautiful people it gets boring as it becomes a contest of how ‘neked’ they can get and nearly have sex on the dance floor….

Judge Judy! Animal Cops, Hoarders, FaceOff. I even like Say Yes To the Dress, not because I’m into white dresses or plan on getting married or anything, but it’s intriguing to watch the salespeople deal with the weird family dynamics. Deadliest Catch and Dirty Jobs….lol

Guess I really watch a lot of it too, Sarita!

I always said I hated reality tv and would never watch it. Now, most of what I watch is reality. Oh well!

I watch a bunch of “stupid” MTV shows, like Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant, Real World, I Used to be Fat, and Jersey Shore. It’s funny because I didn’t watch MTV at all until I was halfway through college, when one of my best friends got me hooked. There was no going back!

I also watch the more grown up shows, like Top Chef, Mythbusters (sort of a reality show), What Not to Wear, occasionally Project Runway. I’ve started watching Heavy on A&E, though I can’t watch Hoarders or Intervention anymore because I find them a bit depressing (I used to watch all the time, so I think I overloaded on those shows). Sometimes I like to turn on HGTV and watch whatever they have on (House Hunters International is fun, or the decorating shows).

There’s no many shows I watch that *aren’t* reality! There are a couple scripted comedies I watch, plus some stuff on PBS, but that’s about it.

Ghost Hunters! Mythbusters! my gosh, I don’t think I watch any regular tv anymore.

I watch Bethenny Ever After, Pregnant in Heels and Real Housewives of New York. I like Bethenny Frankel, rich pregnant women are sort of fascinating, and I’ve watched Housewives of New York since the first season. It’s starting to drag me down though so I don’t know if I’ll continue to watch it. It’s like a really bad car wreck….you can’t help but watch and it leaves you feeling so sad and depressed afterwards. lol

I’m sure if I had access to the only tv hooked up to cable at night, I’d be watching a lot more crap. I watch Say Yes to the Dress sometimes. It’s usually reruns though. lol But I can NOT believe how much some families are willing to spend on a wedding dress. One girl wanted like a $24,000 dress and her parents paid for it cause she was their princess. Yes, $24,000. I was yelling at the tv – “that’s a NEW CAR!!!!! or down payment on a HOUSE!!!!” Sure, if I ever get married, I’d love to be able to spend that kind of money on a dress. But then I’d rather spend less on the actual wedding and have more money for a killer reception. But that’s just me. lol

                      LOL

Chacha really enjoys flopping in front of the tv for NCIS, CSI, Craig Ferguson. She loves Mr. Ferguson’s show. she is in love with his rabbit puppet.

                        LOL We’re a little addicted

I’m going to hide my head in shame and admit to Jersey shore….*sigh* DAVE got me into it!!! I refused but it’s such a train wreck…well ‘addicted’….

Anything Gordan Ramsey-all his shows-love them.

Back into survivor though disappointed as the first one I watched wayyyyyyy back when Survivor was Survivor one…they had to do such things as ‘feed themselves’ and ‘survive’-they weren’t on vacation like now. But still-tv candy.

Celebrity apprentice. Dragon’s den and shark tank.

Ok and on non-reality-I LOVE bones too, Chacha!!! (was crushed when Medium suddenly concluded), the office, fringe, top gear, house, oh man too much TV!!! AHHH but when you can watch without commercials….

OMG, Fringe! (gasp) K&K, there’s so much that did NOT appeal to me about that show when it started, but I’ve only caught the last few and the end of the season tonight and now I think I’ll have to go back and watch the older ones…what a cliffhanger ending! >.< I was afraid it was like X-Files, which I couldn't stand, but it's waaay better!

Definitely Gordon Ramsay shows. Heck I even watch him when he occasionally shows up on Leno!

I used to enjoy things like Extreme Home Makeover, but it’s gotten so repetitive now it’s not even slightly entertaining. Believe it or not, I once put our house into the pool to be picked for the 50 states tour they did, but they wound up choosing that family in North Pole. Sad, I really could’ve used their help with this old shack!

I don’t think these count as reality, but I find myself in front of cooking shows WAY too much…like the PBS ones.

My latest fave is The Voice. I like it MUCH better than Idol. Daughter and I watch Shark Tank occasionally, when nothing else is on. We enjoy routing for folks on Biggest Loser also.
No cable/satellite reality shows for us…I enjoyed The Choir while it was on BBCA for a brief time, but I haven’t even turned on our satellite for months. Otherwise she watches her mysteries and I am in front of Doctor Who and Star Trek TNG. I get enough reality in the nightly newscasts, I prefer my science fiction and fantasy. ^_^

For the most part I hate reality TV (especially lately…I see previews for new shows and I’m like “What the….”. They are really running out of ideas) but I recently got Netflix and have watched a few “Hoarders” and “Undercover Boss”. One hoarders was horrible. It was a cat hoarding lady and they found 40 dead and like 40 alive cats on her property! Awful and she didn’t get charged or fined or anything.

Whenever I can though I like to watch those Cake decorating shows. I take Mom’s dog for walks in the evening and I try to catch them when I can. She has cable. I don’t. I actually cut cable because I couldn’t stand all the reality tv!!

Nowadays, you almost HAVE TO watch reality TV, they don’t give you many other options.

I’ve watched most everything out there… but it’s not as bad now that we have our DVR because I have to actually make the CONSCIOUS decision to set it up to record.

We watch: Flipping Out, Top Chef, Chopped, Iron Chef (I have a school-girl crush on Alton Brown…), Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, Intervention (sometimes, not as much anymore), Possession Hoarding shows, Animal shows (Animal Cops and Hoarding), 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom (those are my trashy guilty pleasures), American Pickers, various Pawn Store shows, recently those Storage Unit auction shows.

Mike likes car restoration shows and racing (Overhauled and Pinks and a bunch of other ones that I don’t watch)…

The only real non-reality shows we watch are: The Office, CSI, Weeds, Californication, Shameless (new show), Big Love (just ended its run)…

I love watching old reruns of Seinfeld, King of Queens, The Office, etc…

^^^That sounds like a whole lot, but those shows aren’t all on at the same time of the year.  We DVR everything and flip thru commercials, probably only watch 1-2 hours of tv a night.

I also am a news junkie… Those are the only programs I don’t DVR.

I just asked my dad if we could get Showtime cause there’s several shows on there that I watch. Uhhh…he won’t be getting showtime. Bummer. But I like Shameless, Dexter, Weeds and the United States of Tara. The two shows I make sure to watch every week are Grey’s Anatomy and House. I watch lots of other shows like CSI, Bones, Criminal Minds, etc. but it’s hit or miss. And once I go back to work, I’ll watching A LOT less tv. lol
