I’ve done verything I can to try and keep Bonnie and Clyde.  As you all know!  We all liked them so much.  I am very disappointed to say they will be going back to the shelter.  I know they will be with one of the ladies in charge and she is the one who had them the whole year before they were adopted.  So I know they will be well taken care of.

Despite all the blocking and toys every where they still manage to get in trouble.  Don’t get me wrong, I know they’re bunnies and like to play, chew and dig.  I don’t have a problem with this and had been doing much better the past few days.  They even opened up a little bit tonight and played out in the living room while my girls were awake.

About an hour ago they started fighting!  Bonnie is dominate and Clyde decided tonight that he didn’t like that.  She asked to be groomed and he walked away!  Then she chased and bit him.  She even mounted his head when he decided to stand up on his hind legs and box her.  Then they were chasing even more.  So I emailed the shelter right away because I didn’t know what to do.  She told me to seperate them for the night.  So one of them is now in my bathroom upstairs.

I just took my daughters out of their online schooling through our school district because it wasn’t challanging enough for my older daughter and my younger daughter is struggling and not able to keep up.  So I ordered 2 new school curriculums that I will be starting this week.  I can’t keep up with that, fighting buns and make sure they aren’t getting into trouble.  She asked if I would want to take Rhine back since the family never got back to them yet or if I needed a break.

So, I’m taking a break.  It just never seems to work out for me.  After I get into a new routine with my girls, if Rhine is still there (hopefully he won’t be though!) in a few weeks I will take him back to foster.  They are still trying to find a forever bun for me though.  Hopefully I won’t be bunny less too long.  I’m really going to miss it.

Awe.    Were they pulling hair?    Mine got into it the other day.  Strange that they fought.   Maybe stress.   Who knows

It is really stressful to have 2 fighting rabbits. Not to mention the damage they can do to each other and possible vet visits. So take a break and see how things go! There’s a bunny out there for you somewhere.

I am just catching up here, I am sorry it didn’t work out. Homeschooling is a ton of work and I would not recommend a new rabbit until you are settled into a routine.

Thanks Petzy. It is a lot of work. The new curriculum is VERY parent friendly though. So it didn’t take as much work as I thought it would to get it started. One school week and we’re right on track. Now everyone is missing a furry friend.
The shelter just told me that the family that was interested in Rhine never even followed through with coming to meet him. Poor Rhine. Since we’re already familiar with him and he already knows the house, we’re thinking about bringing him back. I’ve missed the little trouble maker. =)
Now that my husband went back to his full time job after a week off and is working 32/week at his second job due to the Christmas season, I’m really missing a bunny begging for treats and pets after my girls go to bed.

I am homeschooled, and my mom can get very stressed out at times too.
I hope you get to have Rine again!

Thanks Mocha. I just heard back from the shelter and it looks like we’re picking him up on Saturday morning. =)
