Shes home!!! We have a long way to go yet, but at least shes home!!!

Mr Bunny came with me to pick her up. I swear, he couldnt believe his eyes when he saw her!!! I almost didnt recognise her! Sally took her off Baytril alltogether and her fur is growing back!

I have to squeese her nose 4 times a day, but she doesnt mind, she seems used to it. She has to be kept in her house for a while, every time I open the door she lunges at me, teehee.

Im so happy to have her home.

That photo was taken from her good side. She likes that pose I took some more photos this morning — Shes doing ok… Its getting kind of hard to get the stuff out of her nose. It seems to be getting thicker? But shes going back on the baytril and flagyl today or tomorrow, when I hear from Sally she will let me know — do you think that may clear up the infection a bit? So theres not as much pussy stuff? It really is a miracle that she had a golf ball size infection on the side of her face for a month, and after 2 weeks of being at Sallys, her face is almost looking normal again, but if I dindt rub her nose every 3 or 4 hours I guess it would swell up again.
                        Anyways here are the pictures!!!

                             StuBob at the shop

This next one is of Stus bad side. Which is really pretty good now, considering 2 weeks ago she was bald on this side of her face, and also bald from her ears to her tail. She only had hair on her feet.

                          Nom Nom Nom

She still has the hole in her back end which is the size of about a 50c piece now… I dindt take a picture of it because it looks worse than it is now. But its healing beautifully, forming a really nice hard skin on it now, so as long as we can get this nose sorted out….  Sally is praying for a loose tooth so we can get rid of this problem altogether.

Poor baby. She is looking bright eyed with the parsley there though. nom nom

I wonder if baytril is really worth it? Did she get penicillin injections in the end? Abscesses in rabbits are thicker like you’re seeing…so I’ve heard. Makes it a bit harder to drain. Still, it’s evidence her body is fighting the infection.

did that medicine make her loose all her fur? I’m confused on how she lost it all!

I’m glad she is home with you though! she looks so sweet

A vet prescibed too high a dose of baytril  and Stu reacted to it.

Shes out in a back room, seperate to the shop. she is in her crate a lot of the day, but she loves it in there anyway. She has a big wooly blanket on the floor, and a paper box with a hole in it to hide in, with lots of newspaper to shred in it. And banana and carrot and rolled oats and parsley.

Jersey – I was wondering if she needed baytril again too, but I have to squeeze her nose out (from the eye down) a few times a day so that she can breathe properly. When I brought her home on Firday it was easy to do, but in the last few days the puss has been getting thicker and it is much harder to get it out, so her breathing was going squeaky. She started the baytril and Flagyl again last night, and this morning is the first morning that I have woken up and shes not very snuffly. I only had to squeese once. (Mornings are usually about 6 times) so the baytril or the flagyl must be loosening the white stuff in her nose drastically.
We have a week or so to go until the baytril runs out and then Sally is coming to the vet with me so we can run through the whoooooole story with Cathy (Sallys Vet) and see what she says. But Stu is getting fat again now which is good, you should have seen her that night I took her to Sallys, she was just so thin, and she is still thin now, but the fat is starting to come back. That hole has almost healed… now its just the infection in the nose.
