I have knitting… fingerless mittens!

There have been a lot of gift idea threads lately.  Fingerless mittens are apparently “in” and they are a very reasonably-priced way to give someone a great Christmas gift!  Plus, you can get them almost anywhere.

Here are a few that I’ve made recently.  What do you think?

I’m assuming you’ve checked out the patterns on knitty.com? Seeing your work made me go look there to see what they have for patterns – unfortunately my knitting skills aren’t fantastic so I don’t know if I could make any of them, but some sure are cool!

I actually get nearly all of my patterns from Ravelry.com. You can get a free membership and find patterns, friends, yarns, instructions, and anything else you could possible need for knitting and crocheting. I’m on it nearly as much as I’m on Binky Bunny!

What I like to do is find a pattern I love and then modify it to make it my own. That way I can sell it in my shop without feeling like I’ve taken someone’s pattern.

Those are actually really popular for people, especially woodwind players in marching band. It’s getting pretty cold now and they freeze at night practices and they still need freedom in their fingers to play but at least the palms/wrists are kept warm. If I was still doing that right now I would so buy some from you!

But I’ve started liking them now that I’ve seen yours (especially the green ones and short purple ones), and I think I’ll be needing to get a pair or two for Christmas.

Lizzie, these are niiiice! Though I just cannot bear to think about mittens right now. Were in day 3 of 95+F heat and it’s still Spring.

Could you come up with a summer version? :p     I’ve already started to get drivers tan on my arms.
