Hopefully this time everything will work out.  He’s in the 3×4 pen right now that might get turned into a condo this weekend.  Here are a few pics.  His name is Trick,  He’s a 2 year old mini-lop.  His friend Treat is his stuffed puppy.

I haven’t seen him do it yet. I’ll let you know. I’m starting to think fostering 2 buns may not work out well for my family though. Ever since we got a second one my girls are a little out of control and fighting over them. It’s a little frustrating. Rhine seems to be a little wild since then too. Chewing on things he should and never did before. Not sure what I’m going to do. We’ll see how the weekend goes.

Hopefully your daughters will calm down soon – it’s probably just new and fun at this moment.

I’ll talk to the shelter about it. Rhine is pretty upset. digging and chewing on things. That’s not normal for him. He also grunted and lunged at me today. Which is very out of character for him. I think he’s mad about it. He’s also been nipping at me since yesterday. Maybe he did so well when he got here because he was the only bun. Sometimes it takes trying things to fins out if they are the right thing for your family. Thankfully the shelter is very understanding.

Oh no, sounds like Rhine doesn’t like sharing the attention. Understandable. Maybe he will calm down too…

I think a rabbit’s personality also just naturally comes out more over time as they get more used to their surroundings. My rabbit started to chew more a week or so after I got him.

Is Rhine nipping at you as in actually trying to bite you or does he close his teeth on your fingers etc. but not actually bite through? If he’s not biting all the way but just grazing your skin with his teeth, they’re love bites not aggressive nips.

No, he growled, pinned his ears back and lunged. I moved my hand before he could bite me. I even had to use a spray bottle on him today. That was after the new bunny got here. I think he smells him on me. I was like that for the shelter but never after he got here. He’s definitely mad about it. I’d rather have happy well behaved girls and a well behaved happy bun.

After talking to the shelter they want Trick to go back. She doesn’t want Rhine to act up the way he is since he has been thriving so well here. I guess we’re all learning by trial and error. We’re a one bunny home.

Looks like Rhine is a “MY FAMILY!” kinda boy. All trial and error, now you know! It may be better for your girls too.

Sometimes we learn the hard way. I seem to have had a lot of learning experiences with rabbits in the last 4 weeks. He certainly thinks he owns the house!

Yep, you learned that Rhine thinks YOU are HIS. Have they considered a female? It may go differently. Unless you just don’t want to try at all which is understandable.

Well.. Send Trick and his puppy to me! I’ll take him! lol

I have another post     titled            Question           and it may answer your question about why your bunny is upset.           then agian it may not pertain to him at all.

He isn’t permanent. They are both foster buns. They said he was pretty territorial but they thought he’d be ok. Now we know!
