I have always wanted to open an online childrens store. Not completely boutique but a lot of boutique items in it. I love making toys and things for kids and babies. I will be making tutu’s, dress up clothes, pretend play toys such as play food and baby doll blankets, diaper bags, diapers and things, stuffed toys, baby blocks, girlie things such as room decor, paintings, purses and bed pillows. I don’t want it to completely for girls though, I will have boys things too. I really need a name for my shop. I want to order tags to put on my items and set up at craft shows but I need a name before I can do anything. I want something different. Maybe even a little weird. Please help me.

        *PS

I think I may have posted this here before. lol

If I did, please forgive me,,,that’s the ADD i me.

The best of luck with your shop! You must be so creative. I will look for you online, most of my friends have kids of all ages.

I like “Enchanted Childhood” for a name, I would use it if it were me starting this type of business

There’s a baby store here in Chicago called Psycho Baby… LOL. I bought my friend an infant onesie with camoflauge and skull patterns. She’s really conservative, she probably never put it on her baby

I thought of one a while back and I have it as a username on Etsy but it’s kinda off the wall. My 5 year old helped me with it. It is Pickles n* Paisley.

Why don’t you go with that for your label – it’s nice it has a connection with your daughter. It kinda puts the quirk in there with the pickles. Also the paisely makes me think girly-girly & covers that side of what you may offer. The “pickles” offers something for alternative tastes?

edit: I just looked up the term Paisley to what what other connotations came up with it. It was referred to as Persian Pickles! I never knew that.
Also as welsh pears. You could go Pickles&Pears but it’s probably common. That’s the issue, finding something that hasn’t been used.

                          I like Pickles n’ Paisley a lot.
It isn’t limiting for the age or the products in your store, so if you ever branch out, you aren’t stuck with baby or gender related.
Also, it’s not a food association due to the fabric link with Paisley, so you’re not going to be misunderstood. Sounds catchy.

The pickles has the boy reference, Jersey, unless that’s what you meant by “alternative”?

                            Oh right! Lol !!

I don’t know why I used the word alternative exactly… I suppose I was meaning items not “girly-girly” but not limited to just boys (??)

I really like Pickles n’ Paisley too. It has the added benefit of a name you’ve already put out there in the marketplace.
