I look forward seeing you Northerners Halloween creations! As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not that big in Australia. I should be prepared though as last year I had trick or treaters for first time ever.

So anyone started on pumpkins, decorations, costumes etc?  Am I too early?

          Not too early.

I am a bit bummed because it seems the themes this year are totally mutilated bodies as costumes – thank you Hollywood.
I was trying to find a black cat costume for a work event, and no kitties anywhere.

You have 2 weeks to get creative. hehe. If you can get the ears or a face mask, you could probably put together the rest. You could do your eye make up like Sammys!

That’s true. I can find ears easily enough, and they sell little tails.
I just checked out Sammy’s eyes, and discovered her in a full post-dinner flop. She hasn’t flaked out like this in a long time. I got home on time, hung out with her, cleaned her litter pan, gave her kale for supper and sat on the floor to give her a bit of something for her tummy. Maybe she’s feeling better about me finally? (Or just full.)

If work doesn’t stop being such a stressful chaotic mess soon, I won’t bother to dress up. Argh. Sigh.

I see decorations out              We dont’ get trick or treaters here where I live.   Fouad was so dissapointed last year.

                  He bought candy  n everything.

Since I carve real pumpkins and not the fake/foam ones it’s too early for me to have started carving them yet this year, but I did one about 10 days ago for Thanksgiving.  I cut out areas on the back so that I’d get some pattern shining through onto the wall behind it.

                        That’s so beautiful, Annette!!!

I don’t decorate my place for Halloween because we don’t get any trick or treaters in my area (we live at a dead end quiet little street). My Mom goes all out though, I went over there last night and it looked like an orange and black Christmas!

I’m going to a costume party on Saturday. I’m going to be a vampire again…my animals drained all my money so buying a new costume won’t happen this year.

I’ve been thinking about possible costumes for the buns…Bunspace is having a Halloween photo contest.

I usually go ALL OUT for halloween, so much so the neaighbours come and take pictures of their childrean in costum in front of my ‘spooky’ home. I make my front yard a graveyard and have a smoke machine (that’s now broken BOO) and such.
But this year I am going away teh day after halloween, I am also not holding my traditional (adults only) Halloween Party, because of house renos, and again my trip the day after Halloween.

I will look and see if I can find any old pictures from the past years. Halloween is my FAVORITE time of the year

Next year you could always rev up a beat-up old truck to get a smoke effect……though you might end up with kids in costumes passed out in your front yard.   Mmmm…..…..that could add to the effect though….

@LPT, can you imagine if there were fake vampire teeth for rabbits?! Major choking risk though, might have to leave that look to photoshop.

@ Annette, thanks for tiding me over with you T/G pumpkin.   No pressure….but will you be posting pix of your Halloween Pumpkins?  I’m a fan!

I’ll definitely be posting pictures of the pumpkins once they’re carved! I’ll be doing my first one on Sunday, Scooter will be taking it in to work next week.

Jerseygirl- sometimes I suspect Olivia wants to be a vampire. When I pick her up she sometimes bites my neck! She’s such a stinker
