I let my bunnies outside on nice days all year round as long as it’s not to hot, or freezing cold.
I’m always thinking my bunnies are crazy when they have an entire area of fresh grasses and clover etc and they find a dead dried up tree leaf they just have to eat. You’d think the green fresh stuff would be a lot more appitizing.
Ani will eat the ’horse tails’ weed, I was worried at first but I think they should be ok considering we make tea from it to drink.

Mind you Bo did choose eating paper over hay sometimes *sigh* but he was a ‘special’ bunny.

Anyone elses bunnies eat dead leaves?

Well, Oliver must be a “special” bunny too. If a dried up leaf ever trail in with us from outside…he is all over it! same with the paper. My daughter WILL at one point need me to write a “sorry, my bunny ate my homework” note. the best toy for him is a crumpled up piece of paper…..he doesn’t touch the ones i actually pay for :o/

That’d be Rumball. Always goes for the crusty old leaves. Maybe the flavour improves on aging? lol

lol Jersey, just like a fine wine.

I swear bunnies confuse themselves with goats sometimes…

“Oh, what’s that? Well, let’s eat it and find out.”

We had two days and almost nights of outside time this weekend, the weather was so great.
The bunnies seem to enjoy playing in the dark more then during the day, I like that they enjoy it, but I am a little paranoid when it’s dark, specially trying to find tiny black pitters LOL

Not as much dead leaf munching this weekend LOL…

I love to sit with my rabbits in their pen after dark when I come to collect them to inside. They have the best fun then, even if it’s just for an hour.

lol… well Bubba loves dried rose pettles. But Bubba would eat peperoni pizza if I let him :p

I like napping on the lawn in the sunshine when my bunnies are out, sometimes i get curious noses in my face :p I actually had to chase Baby down to get him back in the house he was not ready to go in and it was pitch black! He’s usually easy to catch.
And these past few times out Bubba is not hiding! But sitting in the dirt, grooming himself, his brother and napping.

Lint loves to soak up the sun… and his black back can get quite warm. I love how that feels, warm velvetene fur. But we don’t have the dangerous heat here, only fatal cold LOL

Pitters is a sun bather as well, Black bunnies love heat maybe? lol
My Degu Bruce loves to sunbath as well, it’s so cute. He dosn’t get much time free run in my house anymore b/c he cannot get along with Pitters… Bruce hates other animals, but my old dog. He tries to fight everyone else, he’s a hundred years old and the size of my hand (rolls eyes)
