So my friend and I did a bunny photo shoot this past weekend.  He has a super great camera, and does professional photography.  But June is all black with dark eyes so he looks like a little black blob.   May and April are red and gray so they showed up beautifully, except but June who is just a black little blob.  He is sooo sweet, I definitely need pictures.  Any advice for the poor unphotogenic black blob of bunny?

I’m wondering if he’d photograph better against a darker setting, so there is less contract for the camera to pick up, and the subtleties would come out more. If you set him against a mid-tone to forest green backdrop, with a soft light that is diffused, the points of his fur might gently reflect the light but the overall shot can be lightened or darkened as needed, without any stark whites to work around. Make sense?

Narural light for all dark animals really helps. Well, as you can see from your own magnificent photo of a black blob… LOL

I think the picture is precious. You can see his brown eyes and it looks like his fur has a brownish tint to it. I don’t think he look “black blobbish” at all!  Plus he has a lighter eyelid around, so it definitely gives some definition to the eye!

If that’s a black blob, I would like a black blob please.

                                Bwahaha!
black rabbits are hard to photograph. their brown eyes are gorgeous if caught in the right amount of lighting.

i have an almost black rabbit, so i know how hard it is to get a good photo!!
