He was my mini rex for 8 years, but crossed the bridge on Dec. 5, 2007.

He makes a good angel. Very sweet and soft. (Will have to get pix from CD.)

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry Barbie, I just missed your post while putting this up! ^_^ I think Leroy would be a great VP though too! He always reminds me of a proper old english gentleman for some weird reason.

Awww look at Spockie’s tail! hehe. Mimz, that’s ok, Fiver can be VP Leroy isn’t looking very “old English gentlemanly” right now with his fur coat all askew.

Camera battery (li-ion) is dead and I can’t find the stinking charger… so pictures of Leroy are forthcoming but won’t be up tonight, lol.

I hear that with my bad ear, Barb…my cameras are all on the fritz because their batteries have crapped out and even recharging isn’t doing much for them. These pix are on disk. (which means OLD) The second pic was the one that won Fiver a spot on DR. ^_^
lolz…If you do get pix of Leroy, you should post him in the ‘odd sheds’ thread too!

Isn’t Spockie’s tail amazing? I’ve never seen the like on any size rabbit and as a mini-rex, just imagine how much longer it must’ve looked in person! It’s a wonder RP wasn’t tripping over it in the middle of the night!

Club Memo – September 29, 2010

Welcome new members!

Stormy hereby elects Leroy to be his second in command as Vice-President because he asked first and Stormy wants to be fair so there is no honking or hitting among members. However, Stormy would like to offer the position of Treasurer to Fiver. The “treasure” being fun pics, facts, links, etc. to put on this site.

He also decrees that half-plushies are allowed to join the club as well and that he is fine with a male or female secretary (no need to get on your high-horse Miss Meadow  )

Miss Meadow is our long standing Diva, and would make a fine Chairbun of the Board.

Spockie’s tail was magnificent. It was almost prehensile, and when he got very excited he spun it fast like a pinwheel. It was expressive in other ways as well. Fun to grab, but not pull of course.

I knew Sammy would never be a rex (despite initial claims of potential mixing) because she is not that soft, not that shape, and I couldn’t find her tail!!!!
It appeared eventually, along with so much fur on her toes (Spockies were nekked so easier to trim – after chasing him for 4 days to get him) that I knew I had something quite different on my hands. Turns out, I had a Diva. but her eyebrows make up for her lack of tail, so I am happy.

Time for more pics of Mr. Bun-Bun! Tonight was one of the rare nights where he crawled into my lap for cuddles and licked my whole face. He must want something from me!

This was the first week after I adopted Bun-Bun (I can tell by the crappy old cage) – he almost never lays sprawled out like this! Too bad because it’s too cute.

Here he decided to use a 5-pound weight as a bed. How is this comfortable? I have no idea.

He runs to the door of the top level of his condo when he wants bunny cuddle time… I can’t believe I let an animal that eats his own poop lick my face!

My sister was skeptical of my obsession with the bunny until she met him…  As you can tell, she fell in love!

Well I’ve previously mocked dog owners who let their dogs give them slobbery kisses… I still think that’s disgusting. At least bunnies freshen their breath with nice herbs like cilantro first!

I haz a plushie! We just adopted her from the HRS on Monday. Her name is Dorie, and she’s about 3 years old. I love her markings; it looks like someone took an ink dropper and blotted ink all down her back, lol.

Is it normal for Rexes to shed often? Every time I pet Dorie, some of her fur slicks off… my Mini Lop’s coat doesn’t do this.

It’s possible that your bunny (who is adorable, btw!) could be starting a shed.  Leroy’s sheds start out like that.  And speaking of shedding…. both bunnies are STILL shedding.   Nick (my dog) is too, lol.
