Ever since Lily has been neutered she has been peeing & pooing in the kids beds! She has stopped peeing & pooing in ours because she has a litter box in our room now! My bf doesn’t want to put box’s in the kids bedroom. So every couple of days, or when he pees, I have to do the laundry! Today, he shut the doors to keeps Lily out of the dining, kitchen & kids bedrooms side of the house. Lily is still in the air conditioned area of the house, living room & our bedroom, but tonight we will have to open those doors cause the kids need the air too. there are no doors to the kids bedrooms, so I have been bugging him to build gates to block off the kids bedrooms!!  I even said to use the wire grids for now, but no! I thought of using wood latuce’s (sp?) as gates. He wants to buy doors, great but we don’t have central air, just a window a/c. so at night we will have to keep the doors open for the kids! I said why not cut the doors in half & have the top section of the door open, I saw them like that before?!

Anyways tonight, nothing’s going to be different, and of couse he’s going to blame Lily & not himself for the messes! GRRRR!

Sorry, just had to vent! Thanks for listening!  Advice would be nice!

Maybe you can find some super cheap baby gates on Craigslist? Then the air could circulate, but Lily won’t be able to get in the kids’ rooms.

I would be pretty frustrated too if I had a bed-peer!

I have to add, I do not nag at him to bug him, but when he complains I just tell him to do something about it, not just complain! I am the type of person to forewarn someone, but leave it alone after because if they do not listen then they will learn their lesson the hard way! LOL! & My bf is so stubborn the more I’d nag the less he’d do! LOL!

thanks Elorhwen, I’ve been looking & will keep looking! LOL! But then might have to instal them myself too! I just don’t get it that he hasn’t done anything about it, it’s been almost 2 months! I am just tired of hearing about Lily peein in their beds! I’d clean their bedding everyday, I wouldn’t mind! LOL!

Hardware stores – the large ones sell cheap standard baby gates in the US. I saw them at Orchard Supply for 30$. You could check that out too. Or hit up some yardsales over the weekend. Or you can make one out of grids. I find the actually baby gates to be better since I have dogs and cats that I am keeping out as well. I know all too well about pee’d in beds. I’ve just survived 2 rabbits doing it to my bed over the past months. I should get a T-shirt made for that!   “I Survived The Monster Bunny Bed Wetter”

Baby gates are nice as you can leave the doors open to allow fresh air through.

lol I can see this…    Hey if you dont’ do nothing different you will get the same results.

My ex was that way.   So stupid.   He insisted the dude we rented the house from spray the house for roaches.  For a month he complaned.  I told him get some bug spray duh.

Oh no the owner is supposed to do it.   Hmpf.   No matter he isnt’ going to do it and it just keeps getting worse.  You gona wait til they take over to do something?   STUPID

I went out and bought spray when he gave me some $.

If you have thick sheets of cardboard around you might be able to use that. Around home I have large pieces of fluteboard (coroplast) that I wedge into the door frames. It has a bend down the middle that allows me to pop it into place. Then I bend one side back to get thru. It’s a bit of a pain though. I’ve seen expanding lattice made from bamboo or willow in discount stores before. I think that could make a good gate sometimes. Provided the bunny side is covered in something so bunny can’t stick head thru and become stuck!   Be forewarned though, whatever barrier you use, Lily might take to peeing in front of the barrier in protest…

What about putting some risers under the bed legs so it’s too high for him to jump onto? Then you wouldn’t have to worry about gates/doors etc

lol, thank you everyone. I know some people rather just complain instead of doing anything about it. We are going to find something today to solve the problem, probably baby gates. &Lily peed again last night in the kids beds. & in our bed cause boo’s was in there too. They woke us up @ 5am fighting right on top of us! Lol. My bf had enough i guess. We will see what happens!

Update!! By the time we got around to going to look for baby gates, it was too late! Stores were closed! LOL! So we went home & baracaded the rooms off! It was so funny watching Lily trying to find a way into the rooms, I think he was getting mad! So at least he can’t pee on the kids beds anymore, and he was fine in our bedroom! I had been bringing his diggy/ litter box into our bedroom at night then back out into the living room during the day, but today I left it in our bedroom, & last night picked him up & braught Lily to show him where the diggy box was! I heard him digging & chewing on the hay in the diggy box when we first went to bed! I hope that does it!

YA finally got baby gates! He was so smart, Lily would figure out a way to get in there no matter what we did! He didn’t like the gates, he bit them & shook them! But at least he’s not peeing on the beds! & I don’t have to hear about it anymore! I just had had it & went out & paid full price for them, but the $ spent was well worth it!
