I don’t know if anyone else’s bunny does this, but my bunny (shotZee) has started running around me in circles. All the time lol!  When I let her out of her cage, she’ll run after me and start running around my feet.  She even does while i’m walking!!  Or, if i’m sitting on the couch and get up and walk into another room, she’ll be right behind me and as soon as I stop she’ll start running in circles around me again!  Its sooo funny!  Even if i’m sitting a chair she’ll start running around the chair!

She used to only do this when i sat on the floor to play with her.  I don’t think its a bad thing because usually she’ll binky too while running her laps.  It’s so funny to watch her do this!!  She’s also been alot more clingy lately, like following me everywhere i go.  I don’t mind though. She’s so cute I like looking down and seeing her there lol.  I’ve only had her for 4 months and I’m so amazed at how much personality she has!!  She always keeps me laughing!!

Sounds hormonal Males that are not fixed will do this due to reproductive instincts – in nature male rabbits circle the females before mating. I have no experience with females, but most likely  they do it as well when hormones are running crazy and they are sexually frustrated…or you girl is a boy

Haha, I was thinking the same thing, Karla! It’s typically a very male behavior (my neutered male has done it twice, but unneutered males do it a lot). Maybe she is a he! Or her hormones are just going crazy.

My female did it before she was spayed too. They humping soon followed.

Its the “I LOVE YOU” dance.

Coco still does it – both before her spay ( but then it was followed by the honking and mounting of my arm, finishing with a urine spray) and still to this day. Every morning when I get up, it is part of our greeting. A dance around feet, a rub good morning.

She also does it when she hopes to get a treat.

Jackson doesn’t do this much with us, but he has always only really had eyes for Coco

Yup, the BLD (Bunny Love Dance). Bean’s fixed and does it, too. He’s so cute if you circle him after he stops. You can just see the look on his face, “You’re doing it all **wrong**!!!” He doesn’t do it for treats, though. I don’t really know what his trigger for it is.

My spayed girl does this when it’s treat time. Or when she THINKS it should be treat time.

spockie did it regularly (after he circled me 21 times once i stopped counting) and he did figure 8s between my legs too.

But last night Samantha did it, and she is spayed for a while now. She was trying to make up after being mad at me STILL for her last nail clipping. It was preceeded by kisses on my feet.

                                Aaaw RabbitPam, so sweet!

Charlie still does it after being neutered for a few years now, it’s usually a “Breakfast time mum, breakfaaaast time, breeeeaaaakfaaast tiiime” thing. Reminds me of feeding a dog when they do that happy dance.
