        Hi everybun!

I’ve been hanging around for quite some time now and have even posted numerous times but don’t think I have ever formally introduced myself and my bun buns.

I am a fortysomething married lady who works in accounting and loves bunnies!  I live in Houston, TX now (and have for going on 9 years) but am originally from San Jose, California and have lived in many places inbetween.  I am married and have 2 children who aren’t children any more (both in their 20’s) and am expecting my first grandchild on Nov 14th!  I got my first rabbit for Christmas when I was 7.  She was a little miniature dutch (black & white) and I named her Shadow.  I had 2 more by the time I was 9 (Thumper and Bunners) and have been in love with bunnies ever since.  They are wonderful, amazing creatures and they bring so much joy into my life!

        Now on to my bunnies!

This is Fuzzy.  He is a lionhead-angoria mix and is about 2 years old and weighs about 4 pounds. He is a tempermental bunny who loves craisens and bananas but not hands!  He doesn’t like to be picked up or petted but when you do pick him up (for needed maintenance) and pet him he melts like butter.  He can be quite the grumpy gus with his boxing and grunting but if you take the time to sit with him quietly he will come – just don’t reach towards him or he’s gone in a flash!  I call him my huff and bluff bunny because he will grunt and box at you but I just stay still and tell him what a silly bunny he is and he’s fine.

Next is Happy.  He is a lop mix, is about 1 1/2 years old and is very tiny (weighs just under 3 pounds).  He is the happiest bunny I ever met.  He is very inquisitive, checking everything out.  He always is zooming, bouncing and binkying all over the place!  He loves attention but doesn’t like to be picked up (but will tolerate it).  He loves nose rubs, head pats and giving bunny kisses!  His favorite treats are papaya tablets and bananas.  He is my little bundle of joy!

Finally we have Oreo!  Not sure what type of bunny he is but he sure is a cute one!  He is my biggest bun at about 6 1/2 pounds and is around 3 years old.  He is wonderful, affectionate, loves attention and will follow you all over the house like a little puppy dog.  He loves just about anything I give him to eat but I think I would say his favorite is banana too.  He loves nose rubs, haveing his cheecks stroked and just being petted all over.  He is the biggest snuggle bun I have ever owned.  He will jump up onto the couch with me and cuddle forever.  He is an amazing bunny.  I guess you could say he was a rescue.  He came from a family who kept him outside (even during a hurricane!) and didn’t pay him much attention or let him run around, he just sat in his cage eating crappy pellets and hay – no veggies, poor thing.  The family went out of town for a week last Thanksgiving and asked us to bunsit and I fell in love with him.  The day they came home and wanted him back I started crying because I didn’t want such an amazing, loveable bunny living with people who don’t even care enough to bring him inside during a hurricane let alone give him the proper care.  We offered to buy him and they wanted $75 and he’s been my wonderful bunny ever since.  Anyway – here he is!

Sorry none of the pics are that great – they all came from my cell phone as I still don’t have a digital camera.

Anyway, this is a great forum and I just love it here.  I’ve read some great advice, have received comfort when worried and have had lots of fun and laughs too.

Hope you all enjoyed meeting my buns!

        Bye

Great to see their pictures. Verrry cute bunch. I remember Oreo’s story – so great he is in your home now and he’s such a cuddle bun. Was certainly under appreciated at his former home.

waco is… waco. i go to baylor so i kind of live in a bubble. i describe waco to people as a wonderfully quaint blend of ghetto and redneck.
i never thought i would be here either! but life has silly ways of surprising you.

Thank you BB. I am so glad that I have them. They are so wonderful and make me so happy! No matter how bad my day is or how awful I feel they are there with their little furry faces and their binkies and kisses and I feel happy.
