In my pet’s room, there are several long pieces of unfinish woods to pin down the thin carpet so my bunny cannot chew on thick carpet.

(I put thin carpet on top of thick carpet (apartment’s carpet, not mine).

He chew a lot of unfinish woods. I’m kinda concern if he chew too much and it will cause him not to have any teeth or too low to chew or idk?

I tried to check his teeth but he scratch all over my body and hopped away from me.

I know of only one concern about chewing unfinished wood – it should be untreated as well. If you go to a place like Home Depot, there are some woods there like treated Pine that is used outdoors, or untreated that is more for building things inside. So if you can check out where you got the pieces and confirm that they are untreated (or change them out) he’ll be fine.

A bunny can’t chew his teeth down too far. Their teeth grow continually, like hair does, so chewing is vital to trim them naturally. It is a real problem if they grow too long, so let him chew away on safe things. You could also put some willow sticks around that would taste better and be good for his teeth and digestion.

My roommate went to Home depot to get unfinished woods (that’s what he told me)

I noticed that he swallow small pieces of unfinished woods. Is that okay? I’m kinda concern about it because I’m not sure if it will stuck in his belly or scratch his throat if he swallow it.

I had to get Monkey a little block of wood to chew on so she;d stop with the baseboards. She likes the willow well enough, but prefers something more solid. Weirdo.

It should be okay UNLESS it’s redwood. Redwood is toxic for bunnies to chew on.    Cherry wood is also toxic but it’s so expensive and is used to build decorative pieces so I doubt that was what your rommate bought.

I bought a nice chunk of Bass wood at the craft store, unfinished. Monkey loves it.

Oh, I didn’t know that Redwod and Cherry wood are toxic to bunnies. Thanks for sharing

I will check his teeth every weekend to make sure his teeth will be fine.
