I have another bunny question, so I am hoping someone here might know the answer. As you all know, Godzilla is an indoor bunny. He has a cage, and I also let him out in my bedroom to hop around several times a day. I was wondering though if I could maybe let him outside sometimes just so he gets to see new things. I wanted to make him a little set up somewhere in our fenced yard. He wouldn’t be out there permanently, only for a little bit on nice days in a protected enclosure. Would this be okay? I think I read somewhere, maybe even on here, that if you have an outdoor bunny and bring him inside it can mess up his tolerance for the weather, so I was wondering if it goes the other way around… if that makes sense. Sorry if I sound confusing!!

Peppa and georgie are indoor bunnies but when the weather is nice i leave the patio door open and they roam the garden which is enclosed and escape proof.
They absolutely love it and when they come in later they flop down for ages xxx I see no problem with godzilla doing the same xxx

            You are so lucky Peppa!
I let mine out occasionally in a pen, I always watch them the whole time though because we have foxes and hawks in our area.

Okay, yay! Thanks guys! 🙂 I put him oustide today in a cage on the porch just while I was cleaning up all the animals. He seemed pretty curious about being out there. Later today, when I have time, I am going to let him out in an x-pen and see what he thinks!

As long as there are no fertilizers or pesticides in your yard (or in a nearby neighbors yard) and you supervise constantly, he should be okay. Be aware that they can get fleas from being outdoors, so if you live in an area that has a big flea problem, you may not want to take the risk. Predators are everywhere (including neighborhood cats and dogs) so it’s very, very important you stay outside with him. You might want to position the pen in a partially shady area too or put a box or something in there so he can move out of the sun.

Karl has access to our fenced garden, though not as often as he ought to.

I would never let him out though if I am not at home. One morning as I came out of the shower, I could hear the magpies shriek terribly. As I know magpies can kill cats, I ran to the garden to find them sitting on the fence and clearly harrass my little fella. He was terrified. I don’t think they were aggressive as such, but still…keep an eye on them!
