          Hi, Sassy,

You have a very big heart.

I would try not to read Craigslist too often for that reason. You can very easily get overwhelmed with the ads and pictures, and I’ve noticed that there tends to be an “urgent” style to them that is designed to get animals unloaded fast, even if it’s not as bad as they described.

Once you start expanding your posts to include dogs and cats, it’s potential for hundreds of heartbreaking posts. There are many excellent dog and cat forums out there. Do you use a dog site too? Might get a much better response on one of those rescue sites than a bunny one. I’d try to limit future posts to bunnies, or other animals you know personally, since there are so many bunnies that need help and the chances are much, much higher for success here if it’s bunnies.

Several other members have done the Craigslist browse, and have better experiences with it. Maybe they can add to my reply.

I just cannot read Craigslist for this very reason. I am also on a yahoo list for rescue which features mainly dogs and cats (but other animals too) and I just cannot read that list either.

I do find that local rescues and animal shelters have great resources and are able to put the word out and get so many animals saved.

There is also a local blog by in my area by a man named Larry Powell and he posts animals in need on his website.

I hope someone can help them.

I don’t read pet section of craigslist because it is very depressing. You can’t save them all and high kill shleter are the worst for making you feel sorry for them. I do however go on the farm and garden to find CHEAP CHEAP timothy hay bales and also for other stuff. I only look at the pet page if im looking for a new animal.

You just can’t help that some people are heartless about animals!!

              Cheer up!!!!
