I guess my first thought is that perhaps he has a urinary tract infection.

Also how old is your rabbit? I guess a little more information might help give you more possible answers.

          Have you changed litters lately?

Is it hot and he has increased his water intake.   Mine do that even tho they are indoors with a/c  in the summer.   Does it smell real bad?  Does bunny strain when it goes?

Also nice fresh washed wet vegies can increase their water intake too.  I mean the water on the vegies.

You got off lucky once a week cleaning.  I have to do 2x and mine are small.  But hey whatever it takes for them to be clean right?

When my buns eat more hay than usuall, they drink more water, which then results in more peeing. What is his diet like? Is he litterbox trained?

I dont’ doubt you clean good.   Keep us updated on how it goes at the vets.   I hope it is nothing serious.  Well it really shouldn’t be anything serious.   A UTI infection is usually gone once treated.  If that is what it is.

I wish I could get off cleaning once a week.  Ruby goes a lot.  Well she only has 1 litterbox too.  For her house and then when she plays I put it out for her.

Cotton has 3 litterboxes.  He insisted on another one by my bedroom door 2 months ago so I had to comply.  Picky bunny.  If I move the one by the a/c he starts going there til I put it back out for him.  Then he has the one in his house.  When his cage door is open  he will use the one by my bedroom instead of in his house.

I can get by with cleaning 1 of his 1x a week.  But not the other 3 boxes.  Work work work.

                    Is your bunny neutered?
