  Great name, and Smokey is a survivor. He was rescued by two very brave girls when a group of teenagers were trying to kill him.

  My sentiments exactly! Oh people do such incomprehensible things…thank god for the good people out there to rescue these precious animals.

  Who is fostering Smokey? I am planning on coming down to Santa Cruz next Sunday (Feb 3rd) and would like to see what would happen if he met Maryann. I am not giving up on Dono as of yet but the only bunny she seemed interested in at HRS was an all black bun. So if Heather feels that it would be better if Dono found another girl, I’d want to see if Maryann just likes black buns.

  Only reason I can think of for her to groom one rabbit out of the 6 others she attacks.

  Smokey is currently living at a Santa Cruz County shelter. As far as I know, he will not be at the show on Saturday. My latest show roster does indcate that two other younger black bunnies will be there, including Lil’ Bear. I may be there for part of the day tomorrow, I hope to meet you and Mary Ann!

  I am not sure if I will be attending but we’ll see. I have plans but with the weather I may have to cancel.

  Good on those girls for rescuing that poor bunny, I hope he finds a forever home.
