  I am looking for adoption centers/breeders witch have a location that I can pick the right bunny. I want a bunny, but I have a 3 ft cage so I cannot keep a large breed in it. I already looked at Tampa Bay Rabbit Rescue, But I dont believe they have a location. We need a location near the Jacksonville/Tampa area.

  I do encourage adopting from a shelter or Rescue. The number of rabbits coming in now will be increasing with post-Easter surrenders.
  I see Tampa Bay rescue does a “foster to adopt” program. Sound like a great idea! A really good way for people to see if a rabbit is the right fit for them, before commiting to adoption.
  
  Places like SPCA’s and Humane societies also will usually have rabbits.

  The current cage is really a bit too small, even for a small breed bunny – according to the House Rabbit Society recommendations. http://rabbit.org/faq-housing/
  Will you be able to allow the rabbit adequete time out of the cage? Or have room to set up a pen attached to the cage to increase the living habitat?

  I do want to highlight what jerseygirl is inquiring, because a rabbit’s cage is not where it actually should stay 100% of the time— rabbits need to have much more space, for several hours of the day. Many users on this site have the most-preferred situation, where there rabbit isn’t in a cage at all, and is actually just free-roam around their house, like a dog or cat.

  I would look at shelters. The shelter mine came from is bursting with bunnies. They have almost 20 right now, all spayed or neutered, all sizes and ages. I doubt they’re unique.
