I have to admit to having a slight addiction, it’s my "geek"  🙂

We went to see Order of the Phoenix on opening night and are going again to see it on IMAX this weekend.I’m so excited about the book coming out next week too!

Any other Harry Potter fanatics out there?

I’m a fantasy genre geek. Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and that other one that won awards, but it wasn’t meant for kids, rather violent – can’t remember the name, it’s on the tip of my tongue.
Speaking of movies, but on a totally different genre, did anyone see "Knocked Up" I was at first turned off by the title afraid it was some stupid campy movie, but I haven’t laughed that hard in sooo long. Really funny movie.

OMG I love HP. Mike and I bought advanced tix and went the day it opened (after work).
Loved the Dumbledore/Voldemort fight scenes. Umbridge was really good. Wished there was more screentime for Snape and occulmency.

Hopefully I’ll get to go to the IMAX to see this one soon myself. There’s a Body Worlds exibit at the museum next to the theatre and I’m hoping to make a day of it   I am a little behind on the books though, maybe this summer I’ll get in some reading time.

BinkyBunny- is the other movie you’re thinking of Pan’s Labyrinth? That was a really good movie.

Yes! I love Harry Potter. As an old ‘witch’ (54) I started reading the series 5 years ago when going through a very rough time and it allowed my mind to take short vacations while caring for several very ill family members. My 15 yr. old son laughed at me at first, then my books started showing up in his room and now he’s called home several times this week to make sure I’ve reserved 2 books (I told him I wasn’t sharing for the first few days). It’s really the first time he’s read for fun, now he reads lots of books, and we have some lively discussions on what’s happening in the last book.

Uh, oh. Now I think I can safely say that everyone better watch out. Geek alert! And we’re proud of it.

kralspace, I also like these kinds of stories because they are wonderful “escapes”. I’m sorry you are dealing with ill family member, and I am sending peace and joy vibes your way.
