Where are you in IL?  Fujoebunny and I are in Chicago, and there is a shelter on the north side of the city that does something similar.

The Red Door shelter has Spa-Di-Dah days where you can bring your bun in for grooming, nail trims, pictures, etc – all to raise money for the shelter.  It’s fun to meet and talk to other bunny people.  And nobody makes friends faster than a bunny on a CTA bus!

wendyzsk- I can’t beleive you bring wendy on the cta, Fujoe is so scared in a car that he starts drooling.

Did you go this past time? We did and it was so nice! All of the shelter volenteers went crazy over Patina since they hadn’t seen her in such a long time. They also tranced her which was amazing. It was well worth it to get their nails trimed.

Pepper doesn’t mind the bus any more than the car – she’s not real fond of either but isn’t really traumatized or anything.  I even took her to Cincinnatti over Easter weekend – I rented a car and set up her pen on the back seat secured by the seatbelt with her carrier and litterbox.

Frisco didn’t like the car much, but he’s a LOT more high strung than Pepper.

I didn’t get to the last one – I was busy.  Too bad because Pepper HATES being brushed and she could use a good grooming.  If I take her to Red Door then she’ll hate THEM instead of ME.

I’m hoping to try her on another round of bunny-dates either this or next week.

BTW – for the Chicago-area folks, they are at http://www.reddoorshelter.org

I’m so sorry I missed meeting you!  We were there, but not until about 1:30!  Did you bring your bunnies?

The event was great – both Viktor and Pandora had fun.  They met people and other bunnies. Somebunny even groomed Viktor 🙂  Hareiette was NOT amused and didn’t want to stay in the pouch on my chest.  She spent most of the time in the pens / lounge area looking grumpy.  🙁

AWWW man, we just missed each other!  I left just a little after one.  Did you get your bunny goodies I left for you.  I left them with….. Kathy….errrr….can’t remember her name now.   I did not bring my bunnies because they would’ve been freakazoids there.

That’s amazing that another bunny groomed Viktor, what a stud.  There were some really cute bunnies on harnesses, and I was amazed how well they all did with everything that was going on.

The Bunny Haven Booth was one of the best there.   Everything was thought of – SHADE over the products so people could hang out longer and shop, bunny garden stuff, FOOD and drinks.   And so many people were there and in such a relaxed easy-going mood.  That really says something  about how it’s managed.  I was really impressed.

And the people I talked to, (when I asked if you had been there, and if I could drop off the goody bag) said such wonderful things about you.

                        Well bummer.  Next time
