My bun is loving the paper bag, at first I didnt put anything in it…

but the next day I put some hay in it and he just spent some time in there

eating and playing. It was quite a treat for me to watch!

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend!

I like to fill little fast food paper bags with hay and a couple treats and let Frankie tear it up! It’s messy, but it’s better than the carpet getting pulled up! I’ve never thought of giving him a paper grocery bag to play in… Knowing him, he’ll probably just want to eat the bag!

Thanks to BinkyBunny’s September gift, there is oat hay EVERYWHERE =) This is ok since eventually Cassie and Alexander will eat all of it, but until then I have a very hay filled part of my room…

Floppy, your pictures are lovely (as is your bun!!!)

nitetygress I hear ya lol, our whole bedroom has recently become the rabbit cage! I don’t mind, as they are my babies and it means they come up for cuddles in the night, the boyfriend is not overly enamoured by it though (I wont repeat his language), but they are still happily staying put in the bedroom, and he’ll have to do something very horrible to me resulting in my demise before I re-locate the terrible two. If he don’t like it, I’m sure he’ll find peace within himself….in the spare bedroom!

My Rucy loves those paper bags! The only thing though is I learned to take off the handles because of one crazy bag chasing a bunny incident.

One afternoon, while I was lounging peacefully on the couch, I hear a crashing of a paper bag along furniture. I look up and all I can see is a paper bag racing around the room. I do a double-take and realize Rucy has somehow gotten the handle around her head.

She must have started walking, and thought the bag was following her, so she started to run, only to find out that the paper bag was really chasing her. Or course she was freaking out racing as fast as she could with the paper bag keeping up. I then raced over to help save her from her bag stalker. It was quite a sight. At the time I was worried she’d panic so much she’d go into shock. She was fine, and NOW, looking back, the whole thing was hilarious, but I always take the handles off now.

Paper bags are great! My two like lounging about in them and Mr. Bonsai when he gets the inkling to be manly, rips it apart.

That story was hilarious Binkybunny, yeah actually I did end up cut the handle off

because I saw Floppy in it and just thought it could be dangerous. He is doing so well

after his surgery I think I may have also gotten him to use his litterbox entirely! (lets hope

I didnt just jinx it.) He is stll enjoying his bag filled with Hay, and I throw in a treat or two

                        in there once in awhile!

Well so much for the cheap and easy plaything. I put the bun’s veggies in a nice brown paper bag yesterday, thinking they would get stuck in. Bean was nowhere to be found (I think she had tired herself out again sneaking into the cupboard whilst I was cleaning them out), and Brian…well he looked on intrigued and leapt in the cage barging me out the way as he went. He scuffled about with it for a bit, so I left him to it. During the night I heard them chomping on their bits and pieces (i love hearing them munching away, quite calming, in an odd obsessive mother way, and find their different eating habits amusing…although I was a bit concerned 2 nights ago as I heard Brian slurrping on cucumber..well it was his cucumber noises, only i hadn’t given them any cucumber!! I shudder to think!!), anyway….waffle waffle….I woke up this morning, to find they had thrown out the paper bag, fully in tact, tossed it right out of the cage onto the bedroom floor, like a pair of unwanted knickers on a hot and sweaty summer’s night. There was not a single veggie or leaf left…AND NOT A SINGLE POOP ON THE FLOOR!!! not one, they were both in and out of the litter box throughout the night, (HE was snoring, hence why I was aware of the furry darlin’s movements..the rabbits, not the boyfriend…although, thinking about it, shhh!!..!  My bare feet hadn’t been that lucky in, well I can hardly remember.  I’d repositioned their litter box yesterday and it seems that (despite what men may tell you), a few inches – to the right – really DOES make a difference.
