Not really no. The paint will chip off hte pens easily, especially if a bunny nibbles at it. I wouldn’t do it.

How am I to make it look new then? And I don’t think Jack would nibblewl at it. What does everyone else think?

I wouldn’t spray paint either. There’s some soy based acrylic like paints though if you don’t mind brush painting the whole thing. I think the soy based ones would be better and they’re non toxic as well. But not really sure about that either.

brush painting has the same problem : the paint flakes off. Just wash the pen nice and it will be fine.

Spray paint has a whole ton of chemicals in it. Even if Jack isn’t a chewer, they usually do end up nibbling on one of the bars at some point. You need to find some kind of coating that won’t chip and is non-toxic. Not sure if they have places in OH that will do it, but there are places here where you can take stuff to get vinyl coating on it. There’s a place here where you can get a reallyy stiff coating on it so that’s a little more chew proof – you just have to replace it with something for a while to let it cure really well.

But if you don’t have a second pen already then it kind of defeats the purpose since you’d be buying a second anyways.

I’d definitely stay away from spray paint though, that can make humans sick really easily from tiny amounts, I would hate to test how it would affect a rabbit
