  My little Leila is not afraid of my hardwood floors unlike other house rabbits I’ve met, but it still is difficult for her to move around on them without looking like she’s swimming and slipping! What should I do? Are there mats that i could put down that are safe for her to chew on? Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Sea grass mats are safe for bunnies to chew on, and I think they look decent too if you’ll have them out in a high visibility area. Just scatter a few around the floor, lol. I think you’ll find that she’ll hop from one mat to the next like stepping stones. Leroy does that in the bathroom (I have a couple rugs in there, not the grass mats – he doesn’t chew them) – he’s nosy so he follows me into the bathroom, but he won’t touch the tile floor.

  Lol this reminded me of a video that Binky Bunny posted that showed jack hopping across a line of little mats, it was so funny!

  Mats are great-just get some from walmart or target How long has it been? Sometimes they will just adjust to them and figure it out
  
  (Speaking of -anyone seen ‘over the hedge’ when the animals get inot the house and the squirrel starts slipping on the floors? The raccoon’s like ‘more pad less claw’ or something-toooo funny)

  We just have area and runner rugs – but they are very tightly woven so Jack doesn’t chew on them.

  We have laminate flooring in our lounge so for the last few days we’ve been carrying our buns to the carpetted hallway for playtime, as they hate the laminate. Last night we tried making a “walkway” out of towels and a large fleece throw from the hallway to their pens. It worked a treat! With a little bit of encouragement and some carroty incentives they walked themselves back to their pens!
