Since I am fixated on the subject of toilet training, I’d be interested to know about everyone’s bunnie’s habits. Please only respond if your bunny is neutered!

GREAT iDEA FOR A POLL!!!  Love it.

Since I have three rabbits, my one vote only covered two of them.   Jack and Rucy are almost perfect.

Bailey on the other hand is a marker, and I would say she’s down in the 70%.  But this is only for territorial marking, for her regular pile poops and pees, she’s 100%.    And the only reason that Rucy is sometimes not 100% is because Jack kicks her out of the litterbox when he wants to go and so she finishes right next to the litterbox  (however, Jack has been much better about using the box at the same time)

Fujoe has maybe a collection of 6 poops every week right outside his litter box. But I don’t know if he pooped them there or if he just tracked them out after he jumps out of his litter box. So I would put him at a 99.5% bunny

My guys do 100% of their “piles” in one of their two boxes, but they both leave lots of marking single poops around the family room during playtime.

Kyuubi has always been really good in keeping his little poopers inside his litter box. So far the only ones outside have been when he tracked a few out when he jumps outside his litter box.

my bunnies use the box in their house, but there is a small territory war in the 3 feet between their houses. even though there are 2 litterboxes there, every day there’s poops there!

When they are in their cages, they are in the 95% category. However, when they are OUT, it’s another story……….Stupid Marking Wars!

I wonder if clicker training would help. Hm.

eek….these are bonded paris having poop wars? doesn’t that diminish when they are bonded?

Well, all 3 aren’t bonded. The marking wars are Mabel VS Hugo & Bungee.
When I only had 2 bonded bunnies, there was no marking. Maybe just occasional chinning. It was when I brought the third foreign bunny into the mix is when the problem started.

I have the same poop wars in my house….its my bonded boy (Kramer) VS the foster bun (Raimundo). Raimundo is much more into it, so I usually have to circle around the house behind him with some Febreze pet odor spray! But when Raimundo is in his house he is very good with the poops in the box. I found that a couple sprays of vinegar on the carpet also helps with the stinky territorial poop smell.

99% of Pippins poos make it in her box. Occasionally you have the 3 or 4 poos that somehow do not make it in the box. During playtime she is very good and never goes on the carpet. Good bunny Pippin!

i have a bonded pair and a single bunny – so that’s where the war lies at our house. We’d love for Hareiette to really bond with them – in fact she does really like them – but she’s a bratty princess who needs to be in charge.

Lilly isn’t spayed yet (that is coming on the 12th… 10 days eep.. mommy is scared!) so I wont vote.. but she pees in her litter box almost 99.5% of the time.. only 4 times ever in 2.5 months has she not and 2 times cause she held it for a long time cause we weren’t home.. but pebbles.. .maybe only .. 70-80%.. I am hoping spaying helps with that!

OH FOR POOPS SAKE!  We’re having full on poop wars at our house, just in time for the webcam   How nice. I know it’s because I’m going through a rebonding with Jack & Bailey -Going very well, Jack chased Bailey once, but after that, they were grooming each other.   (they were once friends, but then when Bailey wouldn’t stop picking on Rucy, Jack would chase Bailey – it became a  bunny train, Rucy being chased by Bailey being chased by Jack.     So I figured, if Bailey and Jack could have some playtime when Rucy is just hanging out on her own anyway (she likes her "alone" time) then Bailey could play together again without any tension.

But passive aggressive tensions are rising  I guess as Rucy and Bailey are really doin’ up the place.  I guess it’s a poopwar over a guy and who gets what territory. Maybe little poop flipoffs. Not sure. So far they have kept their battles to the the playroom and inside their pen.     But  the percentages of poops in the pooper are way down.  They still don’t do piles or  pee outside of the box (except for Bailey who has taken up little drive by shots)   It’s just all behavioral.

Thank goodness Jack has stayed out of the poopwar, so it’s just the two little divas.

It will be interesting to find out how this all works out.
